Patrick Brown, the former leader of Ontario’s Progressive Conservative Party, says he can disprove the sexual misconduct allegations against him.
Brown stepped down from his position late last month after CTV reported two unnamed women brought forth accusations that date back to when he was a federal MP. Brown has said his two accusers know certain CTV reporters personally.
The former leader is now stating on a Facebook post that he will “clear his name.” The post has since been shared over 2000 times.
CTV has defended their position on reporting this story.
Browns resignation has caused the PC’s to launch a leadership race, with Doug Ford, Christine Elliott, and Caroline Mulroney currently in the running.
