KICX 91.7 salutes Hometown Heroes! Here's your chance to nominate someone you think represents a Hometown Hero. A good samaritan - cub or guide leader - a dedicated volunteer - a local person serving in our Military - someone who has received a special award - a doctor, nurse or teacher. Who do you know that deserves to be recognized as a Hometown Hero? Tell us who your Hometown Hero is and why (send us a picture too if you can)! Jan is a Realtor from Remax Crown Realty. Her charity of choice has been the Northeastern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer for the past three years.  She has helped raise over $80,000 in charity events through yard sales and galas.  The funds raised from these events assist these families with the cost of travel, lodging, medicine and treatments.  Jan is a Hometown Hero.
