Green Business Awards Recognize Environmental Sustainability
A formal award presentation is taking place tonight for to recognize recipients of this years Green Business awards.
This is the first year of the award show and is presented by ReThink Green’s Green Economy North program.
The awards celebrate environmental sustainability within businesses in Sudbury.
This years environmental champions award will be presented to three recipients.
The three recipients are,
Ricky Lemieux, president of Rock-Tech ,
Skye Little, owner of HiaMedia Inc.,
and Melanie Cropp, a Bet on Green Leader for OLG Slots.
Cropp says she attributes much of her teams success in reducing their carbon footprint to the smaller details.
The award for most engaged green team goes to contributing individuals of the 176 Larch street project site. They include Al Vardy of Raintree Financial, Sandra Mews of Sandra Mews and Associates, and Erica Lagios of Eat Local Sudbury.
The best of show award for sustainable business of the year has been awarded to Towneplace Suites general manager Xavier Icardo and facility manager Kevin Moffat.
