Cambrian Ford Revs up Support for United Way
United Way Centraide North East Ontario/ Nord-est de l’Ontario teamed up with Cambrian Ford and its employees once again to help support kids and families, reduce poverty, and build strong neighbourhoods.
To help drive social change locally, Cambrian Ford revved up support through their annual “Give Back to the Community” event to raise money for the 2017 United Way Campaign.
As a leader in our community, Cambrian Ford’s corporate values and commitment to improving communities is a vision shared by United Way. Cambrian Ford has supported United Way’s Annual campaign for more than 15 years through corporate gifts, special events and employee donations to help make an impact locally.
“United Way Centraide North East Ontario is so thankful to partner with the Cambrian Ford team year after year. Their ongoing support, this amazing event, as well as the generous donations from employees help so many people right here in Sudbury,” said Michael Cullen, United Way Centraide North East Ontario Executive Director.
For every vehicle purchased in the month of November, Cambrian Ford donated $100 to the United Way Community Fund. Their generous gift of $7,600.00 will be invested in local programs and front-line services to ensure that when people need help, its available. From meeting urgent needs to improving long-term social conditions, United Way supported 29 local charities and 46 programs last year which helped over 26,000 individuals and families within Greater Sudbury.
Ford of Canada and United Way have a long-standing relationship that spans across the country. Thanks to the tremendous generosity of Ford of Canada and their employees, they collectively donate more than $1 Million dollars to United Ways across Canada every year.
“Supporting the communities where we live and work is important to Ford, our employees and our dealers. Scott McCulloch and Cambrian Ford’s partnership with the United Way is a perfect example of how our dealers go further for their communities and their customers every day,” said Dianne Craig, past president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd.
Together, with support from local businesses like Cambrian Ford, United Way ensures that help is getting to the people who need it most. It takes community members uniting to give, volunteer and act to bring about positive, measurable and lasting change.
